Dr. Aninda Chatterji’s career spans over 30 years, excelling in pedagogy, Management and Policy making. Dr. Chatterji joined the English Department of the University of Allahabad and taught there for over 24 years. He founded the Department of Journalism of this University and successfully revamped the Post Graduate curriculum of the English Department. Dr. Chatterji was part of three member committee which set up the academic structure of what is today, the Royal University of Bhutan. Person of considerable versatility, he won early in life, the Sangeet Natak Academy’s “Young Director Award” for excelling in theatre and Dramatics.
After a stellar career at University level, Dr. Chatterji joined the Pathways World School, Aravali as the Principal and Head of Pastoral Care for its Residential School in the National capital Region. Subsequently, he moved to work with GEMS Education in Dubai and was the Principal and CEO of two very large Schools. After 5 years of managing multiple Schools in Dubai with IB and CBSE curriculum, Dr Chatterji decided to return to India and CVSL considers its good fortune in having secured his services to head CVSL.
Alka Verma , an Alumnus of The Lawrence School, Sanawar and a Post Graduate from The Lady Irwin College, brings to the School 28 years of experience in marketing and systems orientation. Alka with her entrepreneurial bent of mind and good communication skills has imparted rich directional impetus to 8 start-ups in FMCG, pharmaceuticals and education. She has been a strong pillar in building the brand Pathways™ BATA Marie Claire, Tupperware and Bengal Ambuja Housing, amongst others. She holds an M. Phil in Mass Communication from Jamia Milia and a pre Doctorate from The Cornell University in Institutional Management.
Anuradha Chatterji comes with over 30 years’ experience in academics ranging from teaching at the Rajashree Tandon Open University, the Motilal Nehru Institute of Technology and the University of Allahabad. She has been a Charles Wallace Fellow in the U.K. and a Lecturer at Delhi University, Sherubtse College in Bhutan. She has experience of teaching Indian curricula, the ISC and the CBSE as well as the IGCSE and the IB. Apart from working in premier institutions like Pathways World School, Aravali, she brings the international experience of working with the GEMS Group in the U.A.E. She has held both administrative and pastoral positions through her career.
Krishnan brings with him immense experience in the field of education. He started his career in the Lawrence school Sanawar(H.P), as a faculty of mathematics. He has worked with the Pathways World School, Aravali (NCR Delhi), for 8 long years as a senior faculty.He has also sharpened his skills with an overseas experience of 2 years as Head of department of mathematics in GMIS Bali (Indonesia).
Krishnan is the IB Diploma Coordinator at the Cathedral Vidya School. Having travelled down a journey of 18 years in the field of education, including 14 years of extensive exposure to the IGCSE and IB curriculum, he has acquired rich experience in teaching mathematics at all levels in the IBDP curriculum and Additional, Cambridge International and Extended mathematics in the IGCSE curriculum.
In his previous assignment, he worked in Eastern Public School, Bhopal in the same cadre. During his tenure, he has undergone various workshops in mathematics and DP Coordination.Other than teaching his interests include travelling, singing and listening to music.
Amit Rastogi, an alumnus of prestigious Maharaja’s College, Jaipur and post graduate in Computer Science, brings to the school rich experience as an administrator and facilitator.
He is an experienced educator involved since 1997 in developing productive student-focused environment to maximize learning experiences in schools following national and international curriculum. Amit, with his analytical mind , interpersonal skills and past experience as coordinator at various levels brings good quality to the team.
Fatima joined us as the Middle School Coordinator in May 2017. Nikhath brings with her a wealth of teaching and leadership experience having worked as an educator in the United Arab Emirates for over a decade. Her experience has been with the British National Curriculum.
Her career as an educator started with teaching Year 1 and within a span of 10 years she grew as a leader; first as the Head of Year 7, then as the Head of Year 10, further as Head of Curriculum and Learning for the whole school. She has also taught students in the Primary and Middle school English and Mathematics. She has mentored staff in the Cambridge International Teachers Training Certificate, coached staff in the delivery of outstanding lessons, and served on the Parent Teachers Board.
Nikhath has a Master’s Degree in Psychology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Bangalore University. Nikhath has strong computer skills and passionate about imparting innovative teaching and learning practices within the Middle School.
Amrata Parmar, an alumna of Jai Hind College, Mumbai University and a Post Graduate from SNDT University, Mumbai brings to the School a bouquet of 24 years of experience in teaching English in various schools across various curriculums in India. She acquired core skills in Education after an experience of being the Head of the English Department at Good Shepherd International School, Ootacamund. Her flair for language learning pursued her to achieve a Diploma in Effective Public Speaking and a certificate in Conversational French from Indo-American society, Mumbai. She is fluently trilingual in English, Hindi and French; can also speak the three Indian dialects (Punjabi, Marathi, Gujarati).
She has been the Middle School Coordinator for the past three years. Currently her new role is the School Proctor. Her duties include overseeing attendance of both Middle & Senior School, Quality Controlling all areas of administration and infrastructure, resolving discipline issues of both students & staff & maintaining effective and positive personal relationships with students, parents and staff.
Her flair for language learning pursued her to achieve a Diploma in Effective Public Speaking and a certificate in Conversational French from Indo-American society, Mumbai.
While not at work she likes to spend her leisure time listening to soulful Hindi music and is an ardent Hollywood film buff.
Avinash Jha , an Alumnus of Sainik School Kunjpura, a Civil Engineering Graduate from National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur and a Post Graduate from Goa Institute of Management, brings to the School 7 years of experience in Project Management & Administration. Avinash, with his strong analytical skills, negotiation skills and good communication skills has contributed immensely in delivering projects as per scheduled deadlines. His first assignment was with Reliance Power for erection of Thermal Power Plant at Shahjehanpur. 1st unit of 300 MW was commissioned in a record time of about 2.5 years. He was very instrumental in getting land possession, government clearances, manpower planning. His next assignment was with Realization Technologies for a Road Project in Bihar which was also completed before scheduled time.
Avinash did his masters in Human Resources & Operations from Goa Institute of Management, Goa. During his studies, he was instrumental in branding of the college through social media websites Pagalguy.com and Facebook.com. Number of applicants to the college increased from 5500 to approximately 10000 during his time. He was also instrumental in formation of Supply Chain & Operations Club (SCOPES) in 2012.
Avinash also takes keen interest in academics and has been part of volunteer groups of teaching. During his Masters, he used to teach Mathematics & Computers to local people of villages around the college. His passion for Mathematics makes him teach the students whenever he gets a chance to do so.
He joined ‘The Cathedral Vidya School, Lonavala, India in 2008. Have more than 18 years of teaching experience. During this tenure, he taught the students of senior classes and has prepared them for their Board Examinations. Under his guidance, students have done extremely well in the examinations. Currently, he is teaching Hindi to IGCSE & IB students. Besides teaching, he also trains students for Debate, Drama, Elocution and also other co-curricular activities.
Dayakar Reddy is working as a Head of Residences and Biology & ESS Teacher for IBDP &IGCSE. He has done his graduation in B.Sc. from Kakatiya University, Warangal, Telangana and Post-Graduation in Zoology from SRTM University, Nanded, Maharastra.
Prior to joining CVSL, he was in Jamaica and worked as a senior level Biology teacher with Ministry of Education, Jamaica, in boarding and day schools for 10 years.
Dayakar Reddy is a dedicated, resourceful and goal-driven professional educator with a commitment to the social and academic growth and development of children.
Mr. Bhushan Gawali brings with him the experience in the field of Physical Education spanning 14 years in International Curriculum. He is an alumnus of LNIPE, Gwalior. He has specialized in Sports management, Sports Bio-mechanics, Sports Psychology, Health Education, Exercise Physiology and Soccer. He is a keen sportsman, who represented 4 times LNIPE soccer team in all India Inter University where his team grabbed medals trice.
He exudes an enthusiastic attitude which promotes sportsmanship, develops teamwork, and motivates children to embrace physical fitness as a lifestyle.
Mr Gawali creates an energized atmosphere while maintaining discipline and safety standards. He has designed specific physical activities to enhance student classroom curriculum. He has attended lots of IGCSE workshop in India.
